The Sacramento County Children’s Coalition remains true to its original vision for the Report Card: to present information to the community and raise awareness of important issues. The need for sound information to guide planning and decision making remains as strong today as it was when the first Report Card was published in 2000.

We encourage residents, students, parents, providers, businesses, and policy makers alike – to actively use the information presented in the Report Card in order to think strategically about how we are going to serve our children, and how we are going to ensure a vibrant community for tomorrow. For all the challenges we face, there are innumerable opportunities. It is our collective responsibility to use our knowledge to make decisions that will serve us now, as well as in the future. For ideas on how to get involved, visit The Children's Coalition.
